여행관련모범답안
When is the best time of year to visit your country?
I would say the best time to visit our country is the winter.
Because we have a great ski resort. The fall is the best time to visit Korea because the weather is very good and uh, it's dry and cool here. I think maybe the autumn is the best time of year to visit my country, Korea because there are many beautiful mountains.
2. I think if you visit my country's you must come to my during the autumn season
because my country’s autumn is very beautiful. In autumn, Korea's very beautiful. Many leaves turns yellow and red and you may enjoy Korea sky too.
Which do you prefer, traveling by plane or by train? Why?
1. I prefer traveling by train to by plane because it saves some money. Traveling by plane is much more expensive. Also, when I travel by train, I can enjoy the landscape from the windows. In my case, I like the sound of train whistle. It makes me think of my home. Lastly, it is safer; the few train accidents cause.
2. I prefer traveling by plane to by train because it saves some time. Plane is much faster than train. Also, I can enjoy landscape such as mountains, oceans, and big rives on the clear day. Lastly, they offer good services. They provide some beverages and keep my bag in the safe place.
What are some things you consider when you travel abroad?
1. When I travel abroad, I consider several things. The first thing is how much money I will spend during the trip. Because I am a student, I don’t have enough money. Also, I consider the climate of the country, because I have to pack my clothing according to climate. Lastly, I check safety of the country. Above all, I think safety is most important thing.

Q. Tell me about your school in detail.
A.
My university is located near the Han River, on the north side of town. It is built on the side of a hill, so the campus is steep. It's a co-educational school, and I remember the female students complaining about how muscular their legs got from walking up the hill. I have many good memories of that school. In my third year, I lodged in a house near the university. I met several nice classmates who were also staying there. We all joined a photography club, and spent our free time taking pictures around Seoul.

A.
My university is located in the middle of Seoul so that it is easy to get to there. Since the neighborhood of the university is so bustling, many students enjoy hanging out with their friends in their free time. However, the campus is relatively peaceful so it's a good place to study there. It is well known for its excellent faculty and the professors are highly qualified to teach their own fields. Aside from that, the university has a pure and healthy environment which is conducive to studying. I'm majoring in Industrial Design so I'm supposed to do many projects with others in order to develop communication skills. The most memorable project I've done in school as a team is "Design Investment Project". I could learn not only how to persuasively insist what I think is right but also how to reach a satisfactory compromise. In conclusion, I think my university has a lot of advantages in many ways.

[sample response]
There are four people in my family: my mother, my father, my little brother and me. We all live together in a small villa in Seoul. Although everyone is busy for their work, surely we are happy together. My father is self-employed and very strict for what is required at work. He loves to go hiking with his club members on the weekends because he is a bit chubby and trying very hard to lose weight. My mother is a diligent housewife and really good at cooking. She's crazy about shopping at a big supermarket, two blocks down the town. As for my little brother, he's 3 years younger than me and looks very much like my father. He's just started working at an electronic company and very interested in what he's doing. He used to pick a fight with me, but is now one of my closest friends and we often go out for fun. Overall, we all get on pretty well as a family although we sometimes get on each other's nerves.

Q.1
You indicated in the survey that you keep a pet. tell me all about your pet. what kind of pet is it? what does it look like? give me as many details as possible
A.1
I have a small poodle named cookie at home. my father brought her home when she was only 10days old. I named her cookie because her for color is chocolate just like chocolate cookies. she just turned 3years old. she used to be so quite and shy when she was a baby but now she's busy sniffing around wherever she goes. I love cookie dearly and I think she loves me more than anyone else.
Q.2
What do you have to do for your pet every day, every month, or every year?
A.2
First of all, I have to make sure to feed cookie on time every day. I also take her for a walk every evening. I bathe her once a week. once a month I take her to the vet for a haircut. every 3 or 4months. I take her for a health check-up.
Q.3
There may be some merits and demerits of keeping a pet. pick one merit and a demerit to talk about in detail.
A.3
The best thing about having a pet is that you have a great companion. because I can tell her anything and trust that she will never tell anyone. however, everyone in my family including myself is busy during the day so feeding her on time could be bit of a hassle sometime. also when I want to go out of town for the weekend, it's hard to find a trustworthy dog sitter. it may be hard to take care of her but I would never give cookie up for anything in this world.

▶모범답안
I visited Melbourne, Australia a few years ago. The city had a lot of old European style buildings and Victorian architecture. The downtown was crowded with local people and tourists. There was a tram running in the middle of the roadway, and people drove cars on the left-hand side which was very interesting to me. Also, there was a river called 'the Yarra' running through the city, and along the river, there were many classy and expensive cafes and restaurants made the river even more beautiful. Many diverse ethnic people were living in Melbourne which is very different from Korea, and they were very kind to tourists.
